Areas of Service for the Researcher The EUREKA Institute for Translational Medicine will also offer services to help the individual researcher overcome the hurdles of translational medicine by means of a network of support. An international network will be composed of scientists with diverse and complementary specialization who are willing to collaborate amongst each other and share ideas, technology, and human and material resources. This group of scientists will be integrated with the core of experts from diverse fields (financial, legal, regulatory agencies, the bio-tech industry). This expert core will evaluate worthy projects and define a development itinerary that will also be supported by financial resources of the Institute. While EUREKA will offer support for research in a broad spectrum of human diseases, it will cultivate an area of expertise in pediatric, orphan and autoimmune diseases as well as infectious diseases prevalent in underprivileged communities. The outcomes of the Network include the clinical development of viable concepts, nurturing these concepts into clinical application and hosting informative interdisciplinary Consensus Conferences on an annual basis.
