Salvo Albani, M.D., Ph.D., is the Stephen's Chair and Director for the Arizona Arthritis Center at the University of Arizona. Dr. Albani is an internationally renowned pediatric rheumatologist and immunologist with specific experience in drug development and translational medicine. Dr. Albani’s research, including a phase II clinical trial, has been funded by grants from the National Institutes of Health and the Arthritis Foundation. His research has been published in numerous leading peer-reviewed publications and he is the recipient of multiple awards and honors, including the Kourir Award in Pediatric Rheumatology, Paris, France; and the Fijkman Award for Translational Research, Utrecht, the Netherlands.
