A Community of Support

Progress

At the institutional level community has begun with our first partners: Nature Medicine, the University Medical Centre Utrecht, Reumafonds, Gent University and the Sanford-Burnham Medical Research Institute. Top Institute Pharma, Dompé, Center for Translational Molecular Medicine, and University College London are also becoming part of this international community.

On a more intimate level, we are nurturing mentoring relationships with and among the alumni who have completed the Certificate Program.

The Future

After building Eureka for three years, we have witnessed the power the program has to shape the personal and professional lives of not only the participants, but the faculty as well.

Fellowships and Internships

We are developing fellowships and internships in labs and other programs (i.e. business, law, administration, etc.) critical in the translational medicine itinerary. Ideally, these positions would be available in both academic and industry settings in collaborative environments.

Eureka Translational Medicine Mentorship Program

This arm of Eureka’s program will provide structured, dedicated, long-term mentorship in translational strategies. Mentors will be a panel of multidisciplinary, translational experts. The experience will be followed and deepened through on-going mentoring and distance learning via structured curriculum.

Alumni Program

In addition, we will develop an alumni program, which may include social media mechanisms, invitations to tutor at upcoming Certificate Programs, annual congresses in translational medicine, and ongoing access to internationally recognized leaders.
